1. Activity Brief
The event titled "Technology in Descriptive Innovation" took place at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School with Mr. Pravin Adik as the esteemed resource person. The event is part of the minor specialization on “Disruptive Innovation” a unique one of its kind, compose of four modules out of which second module is “Disruptive Innovation ”The event aimed to explore the role of technology in descriptive innovation and how it is shaping the future of various industries.
Mr. Pravin Adik, a renowned expert in technology and innovation, delivered an enlightening keynote address. He provided an overview of descriptive innovation and explained its significance in today's fast-paced technological landscape. Mr. Adik highlighted how technology plays a crucial role in descriptive innovation, enabling businesses to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs, preferences, and behavior.
As a case study example he shared his own story as to start a startup he left the job from one of the Multinational renowned organization working in the field of supply chain management but unfortunately till the time he served the notice period the pandemic knows and he stuck in a situation form where he could not continue job neither start his startup, while collecting books for his son form school he witnessed that many parents didn’t turn up to the school as they are worried about their health, after this incidence he started to connect parents and start home delivery of bools form school to home as rest entire schooling was online, further he continue the idea and start his venture for the people who didn’t continue their venture due to pandemic like fruit stall person, chat center etc and he provide the online platform to them though his venture called “KWYK” and it’s still continues.
The event emphasized the importance of understanding customer behavior, market dynamics, and emerging trends through data-driven approaches. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of how technology can enable organizations to make informed decisions, develop targeted strategies, and deliver personalized experiences to their customers.
